Hi all. I'm new around here and just wanted to post this one little piece. I tried to punctuate it but it seemed wrong. Not sure if I should try again or not. Emotion is the key for me, so if punctuation helps that, I'm all for it. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

from my rough flugelhorn
plays taps at your heels.
Why is my instrument wrong for your needs?
Too long have my boots bebouched
on your barren fields. Hands joined,
are you one with your sisters?

You jut from the lineup, though costumed alike.
(In the town of Bekesaba, each gown is unique.)
You'll dance for the rowdy crowds, dance
now for me. I crave the taste of peach ice cream.

She's in her black period -
though she covers it with razzle dazzle
so you'd never know.

Lighting up the country night
like fireflies' neon bright
alternative to day.

Laughter and plastic cups of wine
tinkle, brittle as glass,
like the glass of a coffin
where love lies broken

and the mourner
in her black
razzle dazzles for all she's worth
to light the deep dark.

Breathing through hollowed-out pens from the tabletop
passing the night at the speed of slight depression,
they punch the keys which strike the levers
that string their livelihoods together.

They step out to devour a nicotine snack
and play catch with ideas and grandiose plans,
trying to grab a meteor from the sky
which burns up before it can ever touch their hands.

I am 24, am experiencing Huntingtons disease symptoms. My family is one of the few in the world who have early onset. I was a Nurse before I got sick. I made a positive, comprehensive website. It has a blog, care giving tips, ways to fight brain fog, myths, my story, my families story, history, and ways to have a positive testing experience. I also put on there the poems I got published in the horizon. I have won 13 web awards.
