This is a bit rambling, because it's not so much an argument as it is a summary of a series of questions / meditations I've been concerned with the last few weeks.

I am pleased to announce that my chapbook "Whatever the Story Requires" will be released later this year by Pudding House Press. Many of the poems in the book were workshopped at inVerse, GAZ, QED, and Haven. I am grateful to be among the many talented writers of these various workshops. A Failed Poet

I'm a failed poet. Maybe every novelist wants to write poetry first, finds he can't and then tries the short story which is the most demanding form after poetry. And failing at that, only then does he take up novel writing.
