I want to preface this by saying I don't agree with Dr. Salemi that poetry is dying. I do agree with some of the points that he makes, however, and I think the article and interview are worth reading and discussing.

There are some things with which I definitely *disagree with him about, but I'd be interested in hearing anyone else's comments. Dr. Salemi's comments often cause heated discussion among his contemporaries. He seems like a somewhat acerbic character.
